This cross-culture session will help participants unpack the cross-cultural gaps especially adapting to the various countries. Cross-cultural competence is described as one of the many tools of soft power that includes the “exchange of ideas, information, art and other aspects of culture among nations and their peoples in order to foster mutual understanding. Understanding and appreciating intercultural diversity have positive implications to individuals as they ease communication, build confidence and trust, and break down barriers. It focuses on a practical approach to communication from an intercultural perspective and enhances the participants’ intercultural awareness and skills. This will enable them to assimilate better into their new environment and manage issues and challenges in cross-cultural differences.
